Bio
Juan Pineda is a DC-based graffiti and visual artist whose distinct style, a blend of urban-contemporary street art and traditions, can be spotted in unique murals in the Maryland and Washington, DC area. With a portfolio that includes murals, design, and illustration, Pineda’s impressive body of work has garnered him a number of honors: he received the Proclamation Award from the city of Hyattsville for his mural “In Memory of Freddy” in 1998, and was recognized in 2005 by the Washington Post for restoring the first and only remaining Latino outdoor mural in DC.
