Bio

Kate Deciccio is a DC artist whose work is driven by her interests in equity, mental health, humor, community building and a passion for the activity of art-making. She feels that murals have become a cornerstone because they can transform spaces to better reflect the strength and identity of a community as a modality for counter-narrative, resistance & celebration. Rose Jaffe is an illustrator, and portrait artist born, raised and currently residing in Washington, DC. She studied printmaking and drawing at the School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan. She teaches at Parkmont School in northwest DC and believes in expanding the role art plays in shaping creative minds through education. Her work can be seen at www.rosejaffe.com.
