ALICIA ``DECOY`` COSNAHAN

Bio

Alicia Cosnahan also known as Decoy, is an artist who is deeply involved in the public art and art education spheres in the District. Born in Brussels, Belgium, Cosnahan spent much of her early years in Europe before earning a BFA from Berry College in Rome, GA and studying art in Florence, Italy.

She then went on to work with various museums and galleries on both sides of the artistic process, both in curation and administrative positions as well as with shows of her own art.

Each spring, MuralsDC looks for local/int'l muralists to paint outdoor walls using aerosol paint.

This year, artists will have two opportunities to paint with us. Through our traditional partnership with the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities (CAH) and this year through a partnership with the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development (DMPED).
